The last phone call platform 6
The Last Call from Platform 6
No one noticed the man disappear at first.
Every evening at exactly 7:40 PM, the same middle-aged man stood on Platform 6 of the old railway station. He wore a faded grey coat, held a small black diary, and never boarded a train. Station vendors called him “Silent Sir” because he never spoke.
One night, a junior railway officer named Daniel Brooks noticed something strange.
The man was crying.
Not loudly—just silent tears falling onto the pages of the diary. When Daniel approached him, the man quickly wiped his face and closed the diary.
“Are you okay, sir?” Daniel asked.
The man looked up and whispered,
“It’s too late to save her now.”
Before Daniel could ask anything else, the announcement rang and the man vanished into the crowd.
The Phone Call
At 11:55 PM that same night, Daniel’s official railway phone rang.
The caller ID showed: PLATFORM 6 – INTERNAL LINE
Daniel answered.
A trembling male voice said,
“She’s waiting… just like every night.”
The call disconnected.
There was no internal phone on Platform 6. It had been removed 12 years ago after a tragic incident.
The Forgotten Case
Daniel searched old records.
Twelve years earlier, a young woman named Emily Carter had gone missing from Platform 6. CCTV footage showed her talking to a man in a grey coat—then suddenly stepping back… and falling onto the tracks.
The case was closed as an accident.
But something was missing.
A witness statement mentioned a black diary, found near the tracks, then mysteriously lost from evidence.
The Diary Returns
The next evening, Daniel found the diary placed neatly on the bench at Platform 6.
Inside were dates, times, and notes written in shaky handwriting:
“I told her to wait.”
“I was late.”
“If only I had arrived at 7:40.”
On the last page, one sentence was written in fresh ink:
“Tonight, someone else will hear the truth.”
The Final Train
At exactly 7:40 PM, the lights on Platform 6 flickered.
Daniel saw the man in the grey coat standing at the edge.
Daniel shouted, “Sir! Wait!”
The man turned, smiled sadly, and said:
“Now she won’t be alone anymore.”
A train passed.
When the wind settled… the platform was empty.
The Truth
The next morning, a new report appeared in the system:
“Unidentified male, approximately 45 years old, disappeared at Platform 6. No body found.”
But Daniel’s phone rang one last time.
Unknown number.
A soft female voice whispered,
“Thank you for waiting with him.”
The line went dead.
Platform 6 was closed the same day.
People say if you stand there at 7:40 PM,
you can still hear a phone ringing—
and a man whispering apologies into the wind
